PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Effective date: 9 July 2026

LaunchPointCo ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable British Columbia privacy legislation. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.

A. Accountability and contact

LaunchPointCo is the organization responsible for personal information under this policy. Our Gastown studio address is 300 Water Street, Suite 210, Vancouver, BC V6B 1B6, Canada. Business Number: 762951384 RC0001.

Privacy Officer: [email protected]
General contact: [email protected] · +1 (604) 245-7139

We maintain internal procedures to receive, investigate and respond to privacy complaints and access requests. We will acknowledge written requests within ten business days and aim to resolve substantiated concerns within thirty days, subject to complexity.

B. Application and external sites

This policy applies to personal information collected when you visit launchpointco.pro, submit our contact form, correspond by email, engage us for go-to-market and launch marketing services, attend workshops at our Vancouver studio or interact with us at industry events where we identify ourselves as LaunchPointCo.

It does not apply to third-party websites, advertising platforms or tools linked from our pages. Those services operate under their own privacy terms. When we manage launch campaigns on your behalf, platform-specific data handling is also governed by your agreements with those platforms and our client contract with you.

C. Categories of personal information

The personal information we may collect includes:

  • Identity and contact data: full name, business email, phone number, company name, job title, business address and province of operation.
  • Launch enquiry content: messages submitted through /contact.php, product descriptions, launch timelines, budget ranges, channel preferences, competitive context and files you voluntarily attach during discovery.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser user agent, device type, pages viewed, session duration, referral URL, approximate geographic region derived from IP and cookie identifiers as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Client relationship records: signed agreements, statements of work, invoices, payment correspondence, project communications, creative approvals, launch scorecard configurations and access credentials for ad accounts or analytics (stored with access controls).
  • Consent and preference logs: timestamps and method of consent for PIPEDA form processing, cookie banner choices (stored up to six months in local storage under key lp_cookie_consent) and CASL express consent records for marketing email.

We do not intentionally collect government identity numbers, health information, financial account credentials or biometric data. If a specific launch engagement requires sensitive categories, we will identify the purpose, obtain appropriate consent and apply heightened safeguards before collection.

D. Sources of collection

We collect personal information directly from you in most cases — through forms, email, phone calls, video meetings, contracts and in-person workshops. Limited technical data is collected automatically when you browse launchpointco.pro, subject to your cookie preferences.

For client launch campaigns, we may receive aggregated or pseudonymized performance data from advertising and analytics platforms on your instruction. We do not purchase contact lists for unsolicited outreach. Honeypot and server-side validation on our contact form help reduce automated spam submissions without profiling legitimate users.

E. Purposes of use

We use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances:

  1. Responding to launch enquiries and scheduling discovery conversations about go-to-market services.
  2. Scoping, delivering and administering contracted launch work — including positioning, messaging, launch campaigns, landing-page conversion, launch comms and post-launch optimization.
  3. Managing billing, accounts receivable, tax documentation and contractual obligations.
  4. Operating, securing and improving launchpointco.pro — including aggregated analytics to understand which content assists visitors.
  5. Documenting consent for commercial electronic messages where you opt in under CASL.
  6. Protecting against fraud, abuse and unauthorized access; enforcing our Terms of Use; and complying with lawful requests from regulators or courts.

We will not use your personal information for materially different purposes without notifying you and, where required, obtaining fresh consent.

F. Consent framework

PIPEDA requires knowledge and consent for collection, use and disclosure except where the law permits otherwise. Our consent mechanisms include:

  • Contact form: the consent_pipeda checkbox is not pre-checked. Submission constitutes express consent to collect and use your enquiry data to respond under PIPEDA.
  • Marketing email: separate express consent under CASL — submitting a contact form alone does not subscribe you to promotional communications.
  • Non-essential cookies: analytics, advertising and preference cookies are disabled until you choose Accept all, Reject all or Customise in our cookie banner. Your selection is stored for six months.
  • Client contracts: additional processing purposes for launch delivery are defined in signed agreements.

You may withdraw consent by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawal is effective prospectively and may limit our ability to continue services that require the withdrawn data. We will explain any legal or contractual constraints when you request withdrawal.

G. Disclosure and subprocessors

We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose information only as needed:

  • To hosting, email delivery, CRM, project management, accounting and security vendors under confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • To advertising and analytics platforms when managing your launch campaigns with your authorization.
  • To professional advisers bound by privilege where applicable.
  • To law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process.

A summary of subprocessor categories is available on request. We evaluate vendors for security practices aligned with PIPEDA before engagement.

H. Cross-border storage

Primary website hosting is in Canada. Some subprocessors — including Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. — may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where information crosses borders, we use contractual safeguards and provider due diligence to maintain comparable protection. By using our site and consenting where required, you acknowledge that information may be accessed outside Canada.

I. Retention schedule

We retain personal information only as long as necessary:

  • Unconverted enquiries: up to twenty-four months, then deletion or anonymization unless you become a client.
  • Client records: duration of engagement plus seven years for tax and legal compliance.
  • CASL consent logs: minimum three years after last send or until consent withdrawn.
  • Cookie consent records: six months, then re-prompted via banner.
  • Server logs: typically ninety days for security monitoring.

When retention expires, we securely delete or anonymize data unless anonymized aggregates are retained for statistical purposes.

J. Security measures

We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information — including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), least-privilege account policies, secure credential handling for client ad accounts and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we respond to suspected breaches in accordance with PIPEDA breach notification guidance.

K. Your access and correction rights

Under PIPEDA you may request access to personal information we hold about you and request correction of inaccuracies. Submit requests to [email protected] with sufficient detail to verify your identity. We respond within thirty days unless an extension is permitted. Access may be limited where disclosure would reveal confidential commercial information, legal privilege or another individual's personal information.

If you believe we handled your information improperly, contact us first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

L. Children

launchpointco.pro and our services are directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under sixteen. If you believe a minor submitted data, contact us for prompt deletion.

M. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or business changes. The effective date at the top will change when we publish a revision. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected information will be communicated where practicable — for example via a notice on the homepage.
